Terms of Service — Family Circle

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Family Circle mobile application and related services (“Service”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Family Circle helps households share calendars, notes, recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists within a private family circle. The Service is provided free of charge. Features may change over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
- You must be old enough to use Google services in your country. The Service is not directed at children under 13.
- You must provide accurate information and may only use one account per person unless we approve otherwise.
3. Family circles and content
- You choose who joins your circle via invite codes. Content you mark as shared is visible to other members of that circle.
- You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and your circle.
- You must not upload unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing content, or use the Service to harass others.
- Circle admins may remove members. Leaving or being removed from a circle may limit access to shared content.
4. Google Calendar and third-party services
Optional Google Calendar sync requires your permission through Google OAuth. Your use of Google services is also subject to Google’s Terms of Service. We use Supabase for hosting; their terms and policies apply to infrastructure they provide.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, circles, or systems
- Use the Service for spam, malware, or illegal activity
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free sync, or that reminders will always fire on every device. Price estimates and shopping tips are based on data your family enters — not live retailer pricing.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orion Automator and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (or local equivalent). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by signing out and, if desired, requesting account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email where appropriate.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
