1. Summary
Family Circle is a shared family calendar and household helper. You sign in with Google, join or create a family circle, and use calendars, notes, recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists with people you invite.
- We do not sell your data or show ads.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app.
- Your data is stored on Supabase (cloud database and file storage).
- Some data is private to you; some is shared with your circle based on settings you choose.
- Store price tips use prices your family logs â not live supermarket APIs.
2. Information we collect
Account (Google Sign-In)
When you sign in via Google, we receive your Google user ID, email address, and name (as provided by Google). We use this to authenticate you. There is no separate email/password login.
Content you create
- Circle membership, display name, avatar colour, admin/member role
- Calendars and events (title, description, dates, recurrence, reminders)
- Personal and shared notes
- Recipes (including optional photos), meal plans, shopping lists
- Prices, stores, barcodes, and weekly budget settings you enter
- Google Calendar or iCal data if you enable sync

Local cache
Calendars, events, and notes may be cached on your device for offline viewing. Sign out clears this cache.
We do not collect
GPS location, payment cards, address book contacts, advertising IDs, or health data.
3. How we use information
To provide app features, reminders, calendar sync, household lists, and cost estimates from your logged prices. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. How information is shared
Within your circle: Shared notes, family calendars, recipes, shopping lists, and meal plans are visible to circle members. Personal notes and private calendars are visible only to you unless you change visibility settings.
Service providers:
We may disclose data if required by law.
5. Retention and deletion
Data remains until you delete it, leave a circle, or request account deletion. Sign out clears local cache only. Contact us to request full account deletion.
6. Security
We use HTTPS, Supabase row-level security per circle, and Google OAuth. No system is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Contact orionautomatordev@gmail.com or use our account deletion page. You can edit or delete content in the app, leave circles, sign out, and revoke permissions in Android settings.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Sign-in requires a Google account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International processing
Data may be processed in countries where our providers operate, with safeguards where required by law.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
